Megan and Joshua

Newly engaged!
On the night before Easter and on the auspicious Saturday of 4/7 on the tidal basin in DC after enjoying a 3-course picnic by the Roosevelt memorial, over-looking the Jefferson and Washington monument Joshua proposed to Megan. After a two year courtship there were fireworks for the Cherry Blossom festival and after the finale, as Megan turned around Joshua was down on one knee. Given that our love blossomed in Washington and the 100th year anniversary of the Japanese imports to America that are unique and symbolize new beginnings they couldn’t think of a better way to start their newly intertwined lives. Joshua having come from the snow of Hokkaido, Japan and Megan being from the sandy beaches of Florida, the spring Cherry Blossoms that are all uniquely crafted in their own image seemed the perfect metaphor. Thankfully Megan said Yes! :)
