Bracelets are generally worn over gloves which come in stretch lace, satin or matt spandex. They also come in different lengths:

2. elbow length

Fairy godmother tip; take them off during the ceremony and hand them to your matron of honor or bridesmaids. At a predetermined point in the ceremony she can hand them back.
Fingerless Gloves
You can wear them during the ceremony and throughout the entire evening, so eating at the reception will not be a problem.
Fairy godmother tip; at some stores you can request to have your gloves dyed in your chosen colour to match your dress or other accessories. Some wedding gloves have fancy swarovski crystals and pearls sewn into intricate designs - another potential family heirloom.
