Creating an Amazing First Impression!
It sets the tone and formality of your wedding and prepares your guests for what's to come and how they can better prepare themselves.
A graphic designers point of view: Wedding invites don't need to be extravagant to look expensive.
To bring out the best in any invitation, there are 3 important points to follow so your invites look sleek and sophisticated - regardless of the style of wedding or wedding budget.
These 3 points play a strong part in setting the first impression, the formality and the style of your wedding:
1. The quality and thickness of paper stock your invitation is printed on.
2. The wedding invite wording
3. And the fonts you use for the wording.

Do it yourself wedding invitation:
You can still have a beautifully designed wedding invitation if you are on a budget. The standard oblong do it yourself invitations measure 210 x 100mm - and fits perfectly into the standard DL size envelope which measures 220 x 110mm, this gives the invitation 10mm clearance each way. So if they are artistically embellished with ribbons and charms they will still fit in.
The DL size envelopes can be bought at the any Post Office, news agency, department store, ebay, $2 shops - almost anywhere. Some art shops sell them in many different colours.
If you are on a tight budget:
Wedding invitations can come in many shapes and sizes. Square invitations are one of my favourites, but are usually quite expensive and depending on it's size can cost $1 to send by post. If you want cheap wedding invitations then stick to standard size wedding invitations and matching standard envelopes that you can buy anywhere.
