Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. You guys look happy together. My wife and I have been married for three and half years. What has help us is trusting each other and trusting in God. At Matthew 19:6, it says, "So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has yoked together let no man put apart." May the two of you enjoy a long happy life together as one!

I am so glad that you are finally at the end of your journey. However it will truly be a journey that has started for you both as a married couple. The wedding is right around the corner and I know that the pressure and stress is on. However, remember that all the sacrifices and effort put into your wedding will pay off at the end.

Did you notice I said time and effort and not money. Being that we live in this materialistic world it makes us feel that if we do not spend a lot of money on something then it is not good enough. However, we want to remember that the wedding day will quickly pass and you do not want to be drenched in misery over the financial burdens of unwanted debt (1 Timothy 6:10). My husband had to remember the Bible's counsel when it came to planning our wedding too. Be realistic in your desires and expectations on this special day. And make sure to consult the other person and the budget before purchasing things that will be too expensive. Also, understand that the wedding it is a day for you and your spouse not a day to impress others.

So take your time and remember that the wedding day will be over before you know it but the love that you all have for each other will last much longer (Proverbs 5:18-19). Also remember to put each other before yourself and continue to cover over minor flaws with love (1Peter 4:8). Please enjoy each day together and make any necessary changes in your personal lives in order to be pleasing to your mate and to the one who instituted the marriage arrangement for all of us (Psalms 83:18).

I wish you all the love and happiness a marriage brings and I hope that with time your love will continue to grow for each other. Never stop saying or doing all the things that make each other smile and enjoy talking to each other each day. Congrats!
